Biotechnology is now focused on developing a vaccine that prevents multiple diseases through a single inoculation. This progress has led to the creation of therapeutic vaccines and the expansion of the vaccine market.
The “Korean Institute of Planning and Evaluation for Technology in Food”, Agriculture and Forestry” and the “Korean Animal Health Products Association” have presented documentation that shows a 5.9% increase in the Korean animal healthcare market the years 2009 and 2015. Furthermore, the export volume of animal products increased by 28% percent.
More growth is expected, as the meat consumption and demand for companion animals continue to rise along with animal health care awareness.
